I am passionate about teaching and music. I want to use both of my passions to teach anyone who is looking to start learning piano. I also teach Music Theory, Sight Reading and Ear training.

My piano story is relatively new, starting in October 2019 when my sister and I started taking piano lessons. It took me a while to realize I was passionate about piano, but once I did, I played for hours every single day and constantly challenged myself with new pieces outside my skill range. Doing this, I improved rapidly in technique, speed, and conveying emotion. My goal is to share the love of music and inspire everybody to want to learn an instrument.

 

During the second term in my first year of college, I decided to take a Music Theory and Skills course. In this class, we were taught to recognize the patterns in music, music composition, chord progressions, and so on. To strengthen our musical senses, we even had to sing solfege patterns (Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti Do) on our final! It was a difficult class, but I came out of it with a deeper understanding and appreciation for music. 

 

I teach piano anywhere from the beginner level to intermediate, but this range grows every day I practice. No experience is needed!

 

I can work with any age four and up and I hope to learn alongside you.
